Born in Georgetown, Guyana, and raised in South Jamaica Queens, Spincity Chris is a Cariswing artist—a genre he’s pioneering with producer & close friend, Max Morioh. Cariswing, an inverse of Afroswing, prioritizes West Indian sounds and rhythms while incorporating West African influence, particularly from Afrobeats. He fuses this genre with NY-style hip-hop, storytelling, and swag to create a sound that’s honest, rhythmic, and globally inspired. Tracks like “GT BOY” and “West Indian Dreams” reflect his journey of cultural reconnection and sonic evolution..
